Most pages here at Mathematics Online contain MathML (Mathematics Markup Language). For more
information about MathML, you can visit World Wide Web
Consortium,
the organization that creates and sets the web standards and guidelines. HTML, XML, MathML are some of those standards.
Currently, most web browsers except Microsoft Internet Explorer support MathML
natively.
That means, the browsers render or display MathML pages the way they supposed to without
requiring any additional addon or plugin.
My favorite is Firefox even though it requires a couple of additional fonts to display
MathML. The fonts can be downloaded free from
MIT. You can download
the fonts from
here.
Microsoft Internet Explorer does not display MathML natively, but there are free addons
from highly reputable sources that can be installed which enable it to display MathML. They are
MathPlayer from Design Science and Techexplorer from
IBM. Techexplorer is now distributed and supported by
Integre Technical Publishing Co.
Both Mathplayer and Techexplorer are free to download and install.
You can download and install
Mathplayer or
Techexplorer for use in
Microsoft Internet Explorer. My favorite is Mathplayer.
